Welcome to Class 7 - Dosbarth Mrs Cross


It is with a big smile I welcome you all back to school. I can't wait to get to know you all and find out more about you. I am sure you will really enjoy Year 4 and we will have lot's of fun learning together!


Class Information


Our PE days are as follows:

Wednesday afternoon indoor

Thursday afternoon outdoor


Please can pupils wear appropriate PE clothes to school on these days and remove jewellery before these sessions.


Reading books are not currently being sent home. Children will have reading books in school and have opportunities to read everyday.


Homework will be set via Google Classroom. It will be set weekly/termly as appropriate. Weekly homework to be completed by the following Friday.


Spellings will be set online each Friday for a test the following Friday. Please allow a few weeks to group the children.



Our topic this half term is 'Here We Are' - Autumn Term 1 2020

All learning and activities this half term will be based on this wonderful book by Oliver Jeffers' The book encompasses a whole world of well-being opportunities. Please see Curriculum Overview below.

Welcome back to school Class 7.


I hope you all had a visit from the Easter bunny with lots of delicious treats.


Hope you're all ready to do some more learning. We have planned some lovely activities for you to do.


Our new topic is 'Pirates'.


Below is a grid of activities and supporting materials you can use to help you.


You could try and do 2 hours of learning a day. I will post a suggested timetable you can follow.


English and Maths materials will be posted each Monday on Google Classroom for the week so be sure to look at those too.

Hope you are all well and enjoying some time with your families.


Here is an overview of this weeks' tasks. All work has been added to Google Classroom so if you have not joined, please do so. If you should require some information I am available on my email

Please feel free to email me for your child's Google and HWB details if your child has not been in school to receive them. I can send them to you along with guidance on how they can be used to educate and support your child at home.

Welcome to Class 7!


Class Information

Snack - children can bring their own healthy snack to school for break time, or alternatively fruit can be bought in school for 30p.

P.E. days - Tuesdays and Wednesdays - for this, children will need shorts, t-shirt and trainers. Once the weather becomes colder children will need a tracksuit and trainers.

Reading books will be given out on a Friday, and are to be returned by the next Wednesday.


Learnings Logs - will be handed out with activities linked to our topics and what we have been doing in school. Please ensure your children complete this as this will support their learning. They must be returned with reading books by the Wednesday of the following week.


Children must also be learning their weekly spellings and times tables.
