Welcome back to the Summer Term 2022. We will be looking at plants and flowers and all things that grow this term and here are some of the activities we have planned.

Learning to read is a skill that requires home and school working together. With this in mind we ask that you read with your children several times a week and return their book once a week (Wednesday onwards) so that we can listen to them read and change the book regularly.

Week Beginning 12th April
Hello everyone. Welcome back. This half term our theme is Carnivals. We will be taking a trip around the world exploring different countries , cultures and celebrations. This week the children are busy making passports and boarding passes ready for taking a virtual aeroplane ride with our special pilot Captain Garcia. I will be posting the plan for each week on here. Below is attached the half term plan for this theme.

Week Beginning February 8th
Hello everyone. We have almost reached half term and what a busy half term it has been. Thank you for all the work you have done with your children. They have done so well. This week as promised I will not be setting lots of new things. I know many of you have things from the zoo visit you want to do and some are still working on money. I have decided to upload a few more money activities, this time working on giving change from different amounts. I will also upload all the usual RWI work onto Seesaw along with the videos. As a school we have also signed up for the Cardiff City Home learning package which is a day to day set of fun activities to do with sport and well being. These will also be uploaded directly onto Seesaw each day. Please take part in them if you wish to do so.
Week Beginning Monday 1st February
This week we are continuing with the animal topic but we are looking more at the topic of zoos. On Tuesday we have a special treat for everyone in the Foundation Phase as all the teachers have made videos and planned out a special day – a virtual zoo trip to Chester Zoo. Activities are planned throughout the day on Tuesday to run alongside the virtual visit. Most of the work for next week will be based on zoos and animals.
1) RWI I will upload the usual Read Write Inc video and related group activities directly to Seesaw. Please watch and re-watch the videos so the children are really confident in the sounds they are working on.
2) Dear Zoo by Rod Campbell
Please watch this story on You Tube or on Seesaw. Think about the different animals the person asks for as a pet. Can you think of four more animals, draw each one and give a reason why you would send it back. There is a sheet in the resources below.
e.g. I sent for a rhino but it was too sharp so I sent him back.
3) Which is your favourite zoo animal. draw and write about it. If you would prefer design a new zoo animal. There a sheets tin the resources but his can be done on any paper
4) One of the zoo animals has escaped. Can you make a poster to try to find him. Draw a picture and write a description of the animal to help find him.There is a sheet in the resources but this can be done on paper.
Maths - Money
This week I would like us to have a change and look at money. I will save a variety of maths sheets in the resources. I will number them for you. They will become harder as you go along. I would rather start at the very beginning and the children find it easy and work up. Coin recognition and making amounts will be first .There will also be some activities on Seesaw on money. The Topmarks maths website also has games for the children to play to help them recognise coins and make amounts.
Following our virtual zoo trip I would like the children:-
I will upload onto Seesaw some ideas I have seen which you might like to have a go at. I will also include in the resources some animal colouring sheets and cutting and sticking activities.
As always try to do as much as you can but you can choose the order you do things in and you do not have to do all the different craft activities. There is a variety of additional zoo related activities such as a zoo graph, zoo listening activity in the resources below if you wish to do these.
Week Beginning 25th January
Hello everyone. This week we will be doing lots of activities about recycling. In the book the Tin Forest the old man makes animals out of the rubbish he finds in the dump. Last week I asked you to make an animal out of junk materials. If you havent made one yet, have a go this week.
We are still working on The Tin Forest. Please read the story or watch it on You Tube. Last week I also recorded the story for you. Think about all of the pictures in the book. Which two are your favourite? Complete the sheet attached using adventurous vocabulary. The Old Man in the story dreams of a lovely colourful forest. If you could dream of a colourful forest, what sort of things would you have in it? Write about them and draw some pictures for me. Start it with, " In my forest I dreamed..."
I will be sending RWI videos to each group with their weekly work.
I have also attached in the resources below a selection of handwriting formation sheets for you to help your children with. Choose one or two letters a week to work on.
Recycling. There is a lovely BBC Bitesize page on Recycling for Foundation Phase children. It is called What should I do with my rubbish? There is a little video to watch and a sorting game to play.
I'd like you to design a poster to try to encourage people to recycle their rubbish more. There is a sheet in the resources to help you.
Can you see how much recycling you have? Sort your recycling and record the different types using the pictogram resource.
My recycling box at home is plain black and not very pretty. Please can you design me a new colourful.
This week we will continue working on time. Lots of you were really good at o clock . I would like you to have a go at half past and if your child is ready, quarter to and quarter past, again using the hands of the clock. I have attached resources to help you on this, consolidating last weeks work and including this weeks. Some children may need to keep going over the o clock and half past, some may be ready to move to digital time. Please go at your child's pace and let me know on Seesaw what you need.

W/B Monday 18th January
Hello everyone. This week we are working from one of my favourite books called The Tin Forest by Helen Ward and Wayne Anderson. I have recorded the story for you in video form but you can read it also on You Tube and watch an animated version of the story where you can see each picture more closely. This is a lovely book with beautiful pictures which I'm sure you will enjoy.
Literacy - The Tin Forest
Read the story aloud and enjoy the pictures together. Talk about the story and what happens. Talk about the different mechanical animals in the story. Compare the illustrations with the living forest at the end of the book. How do the animals change?
Once you have read the story and watched the animation I would like you to think about the character of the Old Man in the story. How do you think he feels at the start of the story? Is he sad, lonely? Why do you think so? What does he do at the dump? What does he dream of? Draw a picture of the Old Man and write sentences about him to go with it.
The Old Man has animals which start with T in his forest toucan, tiger etc. Can you imagine your own forest. Choose a new letter and think of how many animals starting with that sound could be in your forest.
Geogaphy / Environmental work - What is a rainforest?
I have included two powerpoints about rainforests. Please watch through each one and talk about what they are like. What animals are to be found in the rainforest|?Look at places on the planet where we have rainforests. Use atlases or an Ipad to find out where they are and the continent they are in and look at some photographs . Maybe some of the children would like to draw or paint a big rainforest picture with lots of different animals in.

If you are unable to print these off ask the children to draw a rainforest and write in the layers and draw boxes for the animal sorting activity and write the names of the animals in the box.
Art/ Creative work
Paint , draw or collage rainforest animals or make model animals of the animals in the Tin Forest using some junk materials such as cardboard boxes and tubes and egg boxes. I don't mind what you use to make your animal. Take a photo and send it to me. Write a description about it. There are some rainforest animal colouring sheets in the resources below
This week I would like to start on time. This week I would just like to revise using an analogue clock, showing the hands. I would like them to watch the powerpoint on o clock which is in the resources below. Then complete the work on o' clock. I have put a clock face in the resources below which you could cut out and stick onto a paper plate and use as a clock to help the children if they need it. there also something games to play.Some activities will also be on Seesaw. If the children can read and understand o' clock without any problem then we can move onto reading half past next week.Please let me know how the children do so I can see where to take them next if they are ready.There are some lovely games on Topmarks website which the children play in school.These are games usually against the clock and are really good for consolidation and practice.
RWI . I have now recorded RWI videos and will upload them onto Seesaw These and the related work for the sounds will be sent direct to the children's seesaw pages as they are in different groups.

Winter term week 2
Hello everyone this week we are going to be taking part in the RSPB bird survey and finding out all about the different birds which come to our country and into our gardens. Hopefully the weather will be nice and you will be able to go for walks to try to spot as many different birds as you can. All the work this week is based on birds. I hope it will be a creative week with lots of lovely pictures.
Please watch the introductory Powerpoint on British birds. This will be useful to be able to identify the different ones you see. In the resources there is a checklist you can tick off when you see the different birds. If you see lots of different birds you can make a tally of your result.
Activity 1 - Bird bar graphs - count the number of different birds on the sheet and complete the bar chart. Answer the questions about the graph
Activity 2 - Complete the bar graph from the tally sheet and answer the questions.
Activity 3 - Watch the subtraction Powerpoint and complete the sums as you go along How Many Bears?
Activity 4 and 5 Choose the subtraction from 10 sheets to complete
I would like you to choose your favourite or most popular bird to find out more about and draw or create lots of pictures. You can do this in any way you want - painting, cutting and sticking, drawing on a computer. You can also create your own weird and whacky imaginary bird in a variety of formats. Give it a name.
There are some colouring sheets of different birds included in the resources.
I would like you to find out more about birds and their parts so there is a label a robin sheet.
In the winter the birds in our gardens need help with finding food. Make a bird feeder to help them. There are some different ideas in the resources below. Choose one. Take photos of the birds through the week as you see them using it.
Write a list of simple instructions telling how to make your bird feeder.
Draw a picture of your favourite bird and write some sentences to describe it.
This week we are finding out all about Winter. I would like the children to explore signs of winter in their own gardens. Below is a list of resources and activities to help them explore the theme of winter. They can be done in any order throughout the week.
Draw some of your own winter pictures and label them. There is also a winter scavenger hunt to explore winter things around their own homes. You do not have to print these out just make a tick list.
Art - Can you make a winter picture using a variety of collage things. Be creative. You can cut and stick things to make your picture.
Language - Winter poems. Using lots of lovely descriptive language write an acrostic poem about winter. Use the words snow, ice, winter, cold etc choose any of the above words or some of your own. There is a PowerPoint below to show you acrostic poems.
Science- it’s going to be a cold week so there should be freezing temperatures. Place a saucer or dish with water in outside in the evening. What do you see in the morning? Can you take some photos? Add some salt onto the ice. What can you hear happening to the ice? Bring the saucer of ice indoors and record how long it takes for the ice to melt. There is also a science experiment about watching how ice melts in the resources below.
Maths- we are starting with 3 D shapes. Attached will be sheets to download about 3D shapes and some colouring sheets to help learn the names. Try to learn as many names as you can this week. How many of these shapes can you find around your homes?
Welcome to a new half term and the run up to Christmas. This term we are continuing our theme of Autumn Skies and we will be looking at A starry Night. Have a look at the curriculum map for the term and the homework menu. Remember you can choose which homework option you would like to do and the expectation is for one activity a week.

Week ending 9th October
We have come to the end of another busy week in class 3 and have moved on to look at what autumn is like and around us. The weather station has been opened and we have been busy learning how to present a weather report in English but we will be developing our Welsh skills to give a report over the next couple of weeks. We have completed our first maths block of looking at numbers to 20 (Year 1) and 100 (Year 2). I have attached an information sheet on the skills we need and ways to help them develop their understanding and skills further.
I will be continuing to add photos and comments on SeeSaw weekly. I have seen some wonderful homework coming in via SeeSaw and via email so well done to you all. There are just two weeks left on this half term's menus. I will be adding further resources for you to use with your child as weeks progress. Any questions let me know or if you require any specific resources.
Autumn 2020 Update
We have made great start to the new school year and have had great attendance every day. We are getting used to new routines and a new timetable. See Saw has been a hit with lots of positive comments being added to the children's journals from the photos we have sent home. This week an update was added about the reading books that will come home Friday. Our homework menu is below, one is for year 1 and 1 is for year 2. We will not be sending home learning logs but ask if you can send photos and / or documents created to my email address and I will upload to your child's online journal. You can choose to do the activities in any order you wish and we ask that you chose one a week.

Autumn 2020 - 2021
Welcome to a new school year. My name is Mrs Jones and I am delighted to be teaching your child this year and I look forward to getting to know them and you over the year. We are staring the year very different to normal and will be spending our first weeks getting used to new routines and new activities. I will be updating this page with what we are up to as we go through the year. There will also be regular tweets on Twitter showing what we are doing. Week beginning 13th July
Well we have now reached the last week of term and we are finishing our work based on The Great Paper Caper. There have been some great photos and videos I've seen of the investigations children have dome plus litter walks to improve the local environment. This week i have set tasks on writing a book review and a letter. We are extending our work about the environment with creating a promise to the World. What can you do to make it a better place? In topic we are thinking about summer and end of year memories. I have added a problem solving activity for maths to practise our skills in solving clues. There is also opportunities to explore capacity and using standard and non-standard measurements to measure amounts. Week beginning 6th July
It was so nice to see some of the children last week, catch up with them and hear their news. We had lots of fun undertaking various activities and learning our new routines. We look forward to doing it again this week and have more exciting things planned. The book Stuck will be used for in school activities. Home learning will continue with work around The Great Paper Caper with last week's activities being really popular. Well done to all those who had competitions to fly their aeroplanes. One member of the class also designed and issued tickets for his family to watch and take part. Bendigedig!
This week I have planned for some role play when you take on the role of a character in the story. You can also be a TV presenter to record giving instructions to someone to make a paper aeroplane and use your imagination to decide where you would fly to and what you would do. You can write your ideas as a story or in a comic strip (I have added a template to the resources list).
In maths we are looking at pictograms and reinforcing and extending ideas on estimation. Topic work will cover pushes and pulls reinforcing work we did earlier this year and moving onto thinking about friction. We shall also think about what is not so wonderful in our world and design posters to encourage recycling and/or to stop people littering. Week beginning 29th June
Hello and welcome to the start of a new week of home learning. This week our home focus is on a new book The Great Paper Caper and there are links to presentations, PowerPoints and activities in the overview and the list of resources. There are also more resources on PurpleMash too. In maths the focus will be to review, reinforce and extend our knowledge of subtraction and to further develop skills around data and creating graphs. Literacy and Language activities include creating posters, being detectives to create a list of questions. There are also opportunities to follow instructions and make and fly paper aeroplanes, measuring how far they fly and conducting an investigation into the best paper to create an aeroplane. We also look at the wonderful things that are in the world. As usual please do not hesitate to get in touch to share work, ideas, questions, comments and for any specific work your child needs.

Week beginning 22nd June
Bore da pawb,
Welcome to the last week of The Gruffalo. I know it has been a very popular topic and there has been some exceptional work undertaken. This week we shall be looking at weight in maths, learning about heavier / lighter and moving onto using grams and kilograms. There are opportunities to weigh objects from around your house / garden and to create a 'Guffalo crumble' (no bake version). Create a picollage to show the steps you took to make the crumble and tweet. Language activities include a comprehension about the story and to allow you to create your own 'monster' and write your own version of the story. I have set a PurpleMash activity for this but you are free to create the story in your own way.
There is another opportunity to explore web safety and in our humanities work we shall look at cardinal directions (north, south, east and west) and map symbols. There are links to complete two music and movement activities based on the story and retell the story using sounds to add drama to represent the animals. All links and descriptions are on the weekly overviews. Extra resources will be listed underneath and there are further activities on PurpleMash. Week beginning 15th June
Thank you for all the work sent to me last week either by scanning, photos or emails plus the work completed on PurpleMash, it was great to see it all. Stars have been awarded on our virtual chart and two children already have a dip in the box to look forward to. A very special well done to Charlie who, with his brother, collected and sorted lots of rubbish they collected to stop it polluting the oceans. Bendigedig boys
This week we are continuing with the Gruffalo and activities set include learning the order of the alphabet and work on creating better sentences by ensuring we have full stops and capital letters and by adding connective words to extend. We are adding a contents page to our factual books this week and designing a front cover. Grid work continues with a battleships game where you can plot the characters from the book to find. Let me know how you get on.
In maths Year 2 are continuing to look at division and work on problems and challenges to develop their skills in understanding the links between multiplication and division. Year 1 are moving on to revise and reinforce their knowledge of bonds in order to easily add three numbers and to apply to numbers to 20.
There are sheets to choose from in the resources list below but I don't expect you to do them all (unless you want to). Pick and choose to suit what you need or copy the questions.

Week beginning 8th June
Great work submitted last week particularly on rhyming words and 3D maps. I saw a wonderful retelling of the story using their constructed map to help them - bendigedig. This week we continue to explore the text The Gruffalo by thinking about questions and we shall describe animals in the story using alliteration to help us. As usual the overview for the week has links to PowerPoints and programmes to help understand the concepts plus there are other presentations in the list below. In maths this week we are moving onto finding halves of numbers for year 1s and developing skills in dividing for year 2. I have also included a PowerPoint for practising our 'Ble wyt ti'n byw? and extending it using gyda (with) to help us. Don't forget everything is there for you to choose from but don't worry about doing them, keeping healthy and happy are the most important things at the moment. There will be new 2dos on Purple Mash too. I will be in touch with details of stars earned and as always any concerns, queries, questions or requests as well as photos of what you've been up to please contact me.
Summer Term 2
Week beginning 1st June
Welcome back and I hope you managed to enjoy some of the sunshine last week. Our topic for this term is 'Into the woods', with the first book we are looking at being The Gruffalo. As usual the overviews for each year group will have links to take you straight to websites and sites that will help. Other resources will be listed below that can be printed or show you a layout to create your own if wanted. Don't forget that if you want to complete the work in a different way please do. There will also be new activities to do on PurpleMash too. Click on the bell button at the top of the Purplemash home page to take you straight to the activity. Remember to tweet, send emails with work completed or photos of them to me so I can continue to award stars. One person received a Gold award too, how many will i be able to award over the next few weeks?

Week beginning 18th May
I have been amazed at some of the artwork children have been doing and sending to me - Popart was obviously a popular choice of subject - if you haven't already sent in photos please do so, I have loved looking at them all. This week our topic will be coming to an end as we head towards the Bank Holiday. We are finishing off the topic by continuing to look at The Gingerbread Man and the opportunity to write a new ending or a new version. Please be as creative as you like to tell us the story. In maths we are exploring 3D shapes and I have set some practical activities on the overview to try as well as resource sheets.
We are finishing off our senses by thinking about touch - have fun with the different activities. There is a further opportunity to explore Popart with pattern making and its time to see the results for your skills on catching, throwing etc. that we have practised this term. Have you got better? Could you present the results in a table or graph?

Week beginning 11th May
It has been great speaking to some of you over the past week and this will continue this week for all those I haven't yet made contact with. Don't forget anything you need please ask. Emails are constantly checked. I have seen some lovely Sound Collector poems which have been sent in. This week we are focusing on 2 digit number recognition with tens / ones for year 1 and year 2 are being challenged to learn their 2, 5 and 10 times tables.
In literacy we are moving onto the Gingerbread Man, reading and hearing the story, designing a new character and writing a character description. In topic we are exploring taste and smell and thinking about what we want to be when we grow up.
There will be some activities appearing on PurpleMash too, remember to click on the bell on the top line, it no longer tells you there are notices for you but they are there. There will be a new story this week, more spelling practise art and other activities.
Remember do what you can, we know many of you are trying to cope with working from home, looking after relatives etc. at the same time. The most important things are to keep well, safe and happy.

Celebrating V E day
A little extra for this week to mark celebrations for V E day. There is a presentation to tell you what it is and why we are celebrating. If you want to you can colour and create bunting to decorate your house or window, a colouring sheet and a wordsearch. Perhaps you would also like to write a diary entry or postcard to tell me how you are marking the day.
Week beginning 4th May
Welcome to a new week and thank you so much for all the self-portraits, photos, stories and emails you have sent. I have been very impressed with everything you have been doing and the new versions of the Funnybones stories have all been amazing. We have had Funnybones going to the funfair, the beach, a walk, to a castle and there has also been a new character in the form of a cat skeleton in one of the stories. Great work by all. The self-portraits have all been wonderful and there's still time to send them in. I'm going to put them all together for you all to see and see if you can guess who is who.
This week we are moving onto sound in our sense exploration. There are experiments to try and games to do (listed below and through 2-dos on PurpleMash). Our literacy focus is the poem 'The Sound Collector' and you have the opportunity to explore the poem, listen to it on You Tube and write a new verse. These can be done on Purple Mash, typed or handwritten. Please send it in or email it (or a photo of it) as I would like to create a book of them all, feel free to decorate the poems too.
In maths we are continuing to explore turns and learning our left / right. Year 2 will move to thinking about clockwise and anti-clockwise turns. We are also exploring symmetry too.
Our self-portrait exploration continues too with the opportunity to explore creating a portrait by using collage.

Week beginning 27th April
First of all a great big thank you for all the messages, emails, photos and videos I received last week. It was so great to hear from so many of you. Please keep them all coming. Welcome to a New Term - week beginning 20th April
Hello and welcome to a new but different term. I hope you and your family are well.
Our theme for this term is 'A picture of me' and the termly information is detailed below. Each week an overview of activities for the week will be added plus resources to help. Feel free to adapt any activities to suit, I realise not every one has access to a printer but ideas can be copied. I have tried to look for suitable Youtube videos to help learning and support ideas.
Please remember you can email me any time with questions, queries, concerns, to share activities - I have loved seeing the photos and piccollages parents have already sent to me.
Do what you can, there is no pressure to do everything. New activities are also available on PurpleMash look for the bell at the top of the page - I have seen some great work and quiz scores. Use any of the resources on PurpleMash as you want - there are some great games on there.

This should be the first day of the Easter holiday so I have set some fun ideas to do this week plus a Purple Mash challenge to create Easter pictures to forward to local care homes who have asked for more pictures to share with the residents, they loved the pictures we have already sent. I am working on a different exciting challenge for next week which we be available next Monday. Have a good Easter and keep safe. I look forward to seeing what you do.

Week beginning 30th March

Week Beginning 23rd March
Bore da and welcome to a very different week of learning. Sending everyone a virtual morning greeting this sunny morning.
Activities have been set for the week on Purple Mash (please email for log in details if you haven't had them) and the home learning packs which cover ideas for the next few weeks have been sent home including your child's passwords for Classroom Secrets Kids. Ideas have also been posted on Twitter.

As our time in school for this term is coming to an end, I am continuing to look for ways to support you and your child at home during this difficult time.
I shall be posting details of websites and activities to undertake on a regular basis. Please contact me at the following email address if you have any questions, want to ask for advice or information, suggest ideas, share what you've been up to or just to check in or talk to someone. I am interested in knowing how I can support you and your child further and how you are getting on with the learning pack sent home this week.
We have also created user names and passwords for the children to access Purple Mash from home using the Plasyfelin Portal. If you want to have these then please email the address below and I will send it to you.

A site with 10 minute shake up games based on favourite characters
A site which has a handy section for parents and ideas for bringing calm in stressful times as it combines movement with mindfulness.
Please let me know what you think of the sites and remember please get in touch if you require / need anything or share experiences. Any tips you have for other families will be welcome too.
During this half term we shall be continuing with our topic of Houses and Homes through the Ages. We shall look at Tudor houses, Victorian houses as well as modern homes. A comparison will be made of objects in homes in Victorian times and our homes and we shall look at inventions of household objects such as telephones and washing machines, who invented them and how they have developed over time.
We will be visiting St Fagans later in the half term and will look to the future as we think about how homes may develop using sustainable materials and ideas. The properties and suitability of different materials will be considered in the building process and we will undertake experiments to investigate waterproofing.
The children will also undertake a sequence of lessons from Upbeat Music who will undertake African drumming with Year 1 and Samba drumming with Year 2.
The new homework menu will be enclosed with learning logs so please ensure your child's log has been returned to enable us to enclose the correct Year group menu. We have really enjoyed the homework tasks that have been completed and have a display of the models of the different houses made. The children have really enjoyed telling the class all about how they made them. Thank you for all the help and support you have given your children in completing the tasks.
Spring Term 1
Happy New Year to you and a great big thank you for all good wishes, cards and presents received as we finished a very busy Autumn Term with our Christmas celebrations. We spent the first week of term settling back into routines and discussing what activities we would like to undertake during our new topic – Houses and homes through the ages as well as completing activities about winter. On a winter walk around the school grounds we discovered one of the trees has already blossom on it!
Following the questions the children asked during discussions on our new topic, we shall start by looking at reasons for needing a home and role playing the earliest home development and writing a diary entry from the point of view of a stone age child. Have a look at the attached Curriculum Map for further details about our studies this term.
P E – will continue on Monday afternoons, please ensure your child has a PE kit of shorts / leggings and t shirt to change into on a Monday. This can be kept in school and will be sent home at half term for washing.
Forest School – will continue on Wednesday afternoons with children undertaking activities in small groups on a rota basis.
Reading books – please ensure your child’s reading book comes into school on their reading day which is noted on the front cover of the diary. We would be very grateful if you could comment on any reading undertaking and how they get on.

The children thoroughly enjoyed the work they chose to do all about space and have learned all about the planets, rockets, space missions and astronauts as well as looking at man's first walk on the moon. There a few who would like to be astronauts or just go to the moon for an holiday.
We have now settled back into a very busy term as we lead up to Christmas and the children have helped plan what we shall be doing. Our theme is colour and light and we are looking forward to looking at Expressive Arts so there will be lots of art and musical activities going on.
An overview for the term is below for you to see the kind of activities we will be doing. Could you ensure your child brings a water bottle to school each day which is extra to any bottle in their lunch bag. Christmas card designs have been sent home this week and look amazing - the children worked so hard on them.

Autumn Term 2019
Our topic this term is Space - This topic is all about the planets, Space and the Solar System.
The children have helped us choose the areas they want to look at and very enthusiastically wanted to learn more about planets, the moon and how people can live in space.
We shall be creating fact files about the different planets and discovering some planet facts. we shall be making ourselves into the solar system to see how the planets orbit the sun. We will be looking at forces and thinking about the effect gravity has on us and on things in space and carrying out our own experiments.
We will also be looking at a range of stories both factual and fictional about space and researching our own ideas through books and the use of websites.
Please note our PE day is Monday and the children will need their PE kit in school, it can stay in school until half term.
Our Forest School day is Wednesday and the children will need a pair of wellies which they can leave in school as we like to go exploring on other days as well!
