Class information
Snack money is £1 per week. This must be paid every Monday or in advance for that half term. Only fruit will be given at snack time.
Our PE day is a Friday. Children can wear their PE kit to school on this day.
Forest Schools is a Wednesday. All children must bring wellies in Autumn and Spring term.
Reading books must be returned on the following days.

Pirates- Thursday
Each child has their own seesaw account. Parents/ guardians access the family seesaw by scanning their individual QR code. This will allow you to see and celebrate all the wonderful work we do in class 4. Please see me if you need a QR code or are having trouble connecting. We strongly advise you engage with seesaw so you don't miss out on seeing your child's work or any important messages that are sent via the app.

Summer Term 1
This half term our topic is called 'Paint me a Picture'. Our AoLE for this topic is expressive arts. We will be exploring a variety of famous artists and the artwork they have created. We will be creating our own versions of their artwork and comparing our work. We will be using lots of exciting art equipment such as printing equipment, water colours, pastels, fabrics, and a variety of different collage fabrics. We hope to share lots of our lovely work with you through Seesaw. Please see the attached documents for an overview of this half term and Jigsaw.

This half term our topic is called 'My Place in the World'. Our AoLE for this topic is humanities. We will be exploring the history and geography of Caerphilly. Please see the attached document for an overview of this half term.

Happy New Year all! I hope you all had a lovely Christmas. This half term our topic is called 'Feel the Force'. Our AoLE for this topic is science and technology. Our focus will be learning how forces and energy provide a foundation for our universe. Your child will be exploring the effects forces have on themselves and objects. Your child will also learn the properties of light, sound, magnetism and electricity. Please see the attached document for an overview of this half term.

Our topic this half term is 'Matilda the Musical'. The area of learning focus for this topic is expressive arts. We will be acting out scenes from the musical, learning a variety of songs and dances along with many more exciting activities. Autumn Term 1
Welcome to class 4. Our topic for this term is 'Land Ahoy!'. Our AoLE for this half term is humanities. We will be learning about famous pirates and different jobs aboard a pirate ship. We will be exploring the features of a pirate ship and creating our own ship. We will be drawing treasure maps using our knowledge of position, direction and co-ordinates. We will be using our IT skills to turn ourselves into pirates, create our own Jolly Roger flags and so much more! Please find attached our overview for each week.
