Welcome to Year 3! We hope you are excited to join the juniors.
In Year 3 we have two classes. The teachers are Mrs Allin (Class 7) and Ms Poulakis (Class 6). Our teaching assistant is Mrs Nash.

Seesaw is our main source of communication. We send class announcements, messages and share work and pictures.
Our P.E days are Monday (indoor) and Thursday (outdoor)
Children are to wear their P.E kits to school on the above days.
They will need warm outdoor clothing (wear layers) and trainers.
Earrings need to be taken out on these days unless they are able to take them out themselves prior to the session.
What else do you need to know
This half term our topic is 'In the lab'. We will be completing a range of science experiments and collate these results for the children to achieve a Science CREST award.
This half term will also include two Welsh themed weeks. Words from Wales will be a week themed around a book with a Welsh author. Our story is 'The dragon and the flag'. We also have a week preparing tasks and activities for our school Eisteddfod which includes handwriting, recitals and songs.
This half term our topic is 'Globetrotters'. We will be studying maps and map features. We will look at the difference between natural and physical features in our locality.
This half term our topic is 'High days and holidays' which will mainly be focused on Expressive Arts including rehearsals and singing for our Year 3 Christmas Play in December. The school concert will be on 13th December pm.

We will begin with the topic 'Way back when' and we will be primarily focusing on Early history including: Dinosaurs, 'The Ice Age' and 'The Stone Age'.
