Who lives in a rockpool?

What a great question!?! The children are all really excited to find out the answer to that question. They already know a little about rockpools but they came up with some excellent questions when asked what they would like to find out, check our their grid below. Throughout this topic we will finding out about rockpool creatures, where we find rockpools, local beaches, sun and sea safety and lots more. We will even have chance to experience a rockpool first hand on our school trip to the Beach Academy Wales Rockpool School in Porthcawl! As part of our Jigsaw wellbeing sessions we will be talking about our bodies and how we have changed from when we were babies!

Summer term 1

Our topic this term is Celebrations 

This half term we will be finding out about lots of different types of celebrations. We will be discussing birthdays, weddings, religious celebrations and lots of other times that are special to us. We will have lots of fun organising two events. First we will be party planners and will have to think about all the details that go into birthday party planning. We will be creating invitations, designing birthday cards and making sure we have enough of each party hat and plate! We will then have a big job ahead as we will be planning and taking part in a mock wedding. There will be lots to plan and prepare for the big day, we will design wedding outfits, design and make sandwiches for the buffet and lots more!
