Class Information - Mr Lewis
We are really looking forward to having you join us this special year. Our classroom is a place where curiosity, creativity and respect guide our learning journey. Together we will explore new ideas, build skills and support one another as we grow academically and personally. Year 6 is an important and exciting time - it's your final year of primary school. Let’s make it a year filled with laughter, learning and success.

Class Information
PE days : Wednesday (Indoor) & Friday (Outdoor games)- Pupils are to wear P.E. kits into school on these days.
Fruit: The children may have a fruit snack at playtime. You are free to send your own fruit or you can purchase it at Mrs Allins' fruit shop. The fruit costs 20p per day or you can pay £1 for the week.
Reading books : Every child has been provided with reading material in the form of a comic, novel, annual etc from the school. There will be daily reading sessions in school but if you could help and encourage your child to read at home that would be really beneficial. Thank you!

Year 6 will be using Google's G-suite for education to enhance their learning and complete tasks both in school and at home. Your children have their account details and work will be set via Google Classroom. Below is a useful link to see the benefits of using this platform and for those who are unsure. There is an Independent learning block where children can access exciting learning to further their understanding.

Autumn 1 - WW2: Blackouts, Bombs & Bravery
What would you do with no lights, loud sirens and a gas mask by your bed? Discover how ordinary people became heroes in extraordinary times.

A siren sounds, a building crumbles, a Spitfire zooms overhead. Take cover. It’s 1939 and Britain is at war. We will be researching WW2 and completing activities linked to the Blitz, evacuees, rations and we will be making our own Anderson shelters.
We will also be having a WW2 workshop, which will include cooking and practical activities.
