Earrings need to be taken out on these days unless they are able to take them out themselves prior to the session.
- Fruit: The children may have a fruit snack at playtime. You are free to send your own fruit or you can purchase it at Mrs Allins' fruit shop. The fruit costs 20p per day or you can pay £1 for the week.
- Reading books: Your child will be provided with a reading book in school or they may choose their own from home. They will be expected to read at home and the adult to sign the reading diary and write a comment. They will need to bring their books in on a daily basis. Pupils can change their books when completed at any time.
Our Summer Topic is: From Tribes to Togas
This term, our topic is about Celts and Romans. We will be learning about what life was like in Britain during these periods, exploring how the Celts lived and how the Roman invasion changed daily life. The children will develop their historical understanding by asking questions, comparing the two time periods and exploring how the past has influenced life today. Alongside this, they will take part in a range of activities across the curriculum, including designing and decorating Roman shields, creating Celtic patterns and responding to Celtic-style music. Using the Digital Learning Den, our focus will be to build knowledge, develop curiosity and deepen understanding through a range of engaging and creative tasks.
