This term, our topic is about Celts and Romans. We will be learning about what life was like in Britain during these periods, exploring how the Celts lived and how the Roman invasion changed daily life. The children will develop their historical understanding by asking questions, comparing the two time periods and exploring how the past has influenced life today. Alongside this, they will take part in a range of activities across the curriculum, including designing and decorating Roman shields, creating Celtic patterns and responding to Celtic-style music. Using the Digital Learning Den, our focus will be to build knowledge, develop curiosity and deepen understanding through a range of engaging and creative tasks.

This term our topic is Jungle Mania! We will be exploring the amazing world of rainforests, discovering what makes them unique and where they are found around the globe. The children will learn about the layers of the rainforest, the incredible variety of plants and animals that call it home, and how these ecosystems are vital to life on Earth. We will also find out about the ways rainforests provide food, medicine, and resources for people. Through this topic, the children will gain a deeper understanding of the rainforest’s importance and the need to protect these remarkable environments.

This term our topic is Fiesta Fun! We will be exploring and celebrating a variety of festivals from around the world, including Holi, Eid, Christmas, Diwali, Chinese New Year, and Carnivals. The children will learn about the traditions, stories, food, music, and celebrations that make each festival special. Through creative activities, art, music, and storytelling, we will discover how different cultures come together to celebrate joy, community, and new beginnings.
