We are really looking forward to having you join us this special year. Our classroom is a place where curiosity, creativity and respect guide our learning journey. Together we will explore new ideas, build skills and support one another as we grow academically and personally. Year 6 is an important and exciting time - it's your final year of primary school. Let’s make it a year filled with laughter, learning and success.

Now is the time to start becoming more independent. Choose from the links in our virtual classroom to further your learning at home. Keep developing your skills and working on your challenges and targets to keep improving. You can do this!

Class Information

PE Days

Wednesday (Indoor) & Friday (Outdoor games)- Pupils are to wear P.E. kits into school on these days.

Children are to wear their P.E kits to school on the above days.  They will need suitable clothing (wear layers) and trainers.  Earrings need to be taken out on these days unless they are able to take them out themselves prior to the session. 

Fruit

The children may have a fruit snack at playtime. You are free to send your own fruit or you can purchase it at Mrs Allins' fruit shop. The fruit costs 20p per day or you can pay £1 for the week.

Reading in Year 6

Every child has been provided with reading material in the form of a comic, novel, annual etc from the school. They will need to bring their books in on a daily basis. Pupils can change their books when completed at any time. There will be daily reading sessions in school but if you could help and encourage your child to read at home that would be really beneficial. Thank you!

Google

Year 6 will be using Google's G-suite for education to enhance their learning and complete tasks both in school and at home. Your children have their account details and work will be set via Google Classroom. There is an Independent learning block where children can access exciting learning to further their understanding.

Spring Term- African Adventures

This term, we’re setting off on an unforgettable journey across the incredible continent of Africa — a place full of vibrant cultures, breathtaking landscapes, fascinating wildlife and big ideas to explore. From the world-famous Sahara Desert and mighty River Nile to the rhythms of everyday life in diverse countries, our learning will take us far beyond the classroom as we discover what makes Africa so unique and inspiring. Get ready to explore, question, and be amazed!
